Genoa pharmacist featured in Chain Drug Review’s “Excellence in Pharmacy Practice” profile series

Oct 27th, 2023

Kristen Pyland, a Genoa pharmacist who saved the life of a woman experiencing an overdose, was recently featured by Chain Drug Review in a pharmacy profile series highlighting the important role of pharmacists within their communities.

In the article, Pyland shared the personal experience that inspired her to become a pharmacist and detailed how her Genoa pharmacy supports the behavioral health community.

“It’s extremely difficult for someone to decide to get treatment and stay true to that promise to themselves,” Pyland said.  “So, when they do, I’m dedicated to providing the support and care they need to be successful, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help people make a positive change in their life.”
